Scheduling Priorities

During the Spring and Fall semester, the highest priority for scheduling ETS Computer Facilities is for academic classes. Academic classes are defined by those that have a Course Control Number (CCN).

Spring and Fall semesters

While Priority Scheduling is active, the scheduling priorities during the Spring and Fall semesters in ETS computer facilities are listed in order below:

  1. Academic courses, including DeCals
  2. UC Berkeley staff training

If a higher priority event requests the same time and room as the lower priority group, the lower priority event will be bumped. We will try our best to find the lower priority event another location, but that may not be possible.

Winter and Summer Break

During Summer or Winter break, there is no clear priority scheduling. Each reservation is reviewed case by case to determine priority. Generally, most reservations are given in a first come first serve basis. After the priority scheduling deadline ends, reservations can be confirm in their time and location.
