[Service Alert] Turnitin similarity reports not generating

All Similarity Reports have been generated for affected submissions. Thank you for patience. Please contact bcourseshelp@berkeley.edu should you continue to experience issues seeing Turnitin Similarity Reports for your students' assignment submissions.

UPDATE: Friday, 3/30/18

Canvas engineers have started to run a script to generate Turnitin Similarity Reports for assignment submissions that were affected by the outage. It may take up to two (2) weeks for the fix to be completed, though the reports may appear sooner.

UPDATE: Wednesday, 3/28/18

As of Monday, March 26, all new assignments and submissions should behave as expected. The vendor is still preparing a fix to resubmit the broken assignments and submissions which they will try to run today or tomorrow.

UPDATE: MONDAY, 3/26/18

Canvas support engineers have developed and are currently reviewing a fix for this issue. No word yet on when it will be deployed.

Also, they confirmed that the earliest reports of this issue were from March 20, so students who submitted Turnitin-enabled assignments since that time may not have had a similarity report generated for their submission.

ORIGINAL ANNOUNCEMENT: Friday, 3/23/18

Turnitin similarity reports are currently not being generated for recent assignments. We have reported the issue to Canvas and they are working to resolve the issue and make the reports available as soon as possible. Neither Turnitin nor Canvas system status pages have updates at the moment, so we will update this announcement as we receive updates from the vendors.
