On October 28, the current bCourses "Grading History" feature will be replaced with a new "Gradebook History" tool, which will allow this tool to be accessed in large courses. The legacy "Grading History" feature was limited to courses with under 2000 gradebook entries, making it unavailable in courses with a large number of students and/or graded assignments.
In "Gradebook History" (https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-13172#jive_content_id_Gradebook...), instructors and TAs will have the ability to view all grade changes made in a course, and filter these by student, assignment, or grader, as well as restricting search results to a specific start and end date. This change will provide instructors of large courses with critical information about when and how any individual student's assignment grade was added or changed.
This feature was originally requested by UC Berkeley bCourses staff in the Canvas Community in December 2015 (https://community.canvaslms.com/ideas/4236-support-grading-history-in-la...), and we are extremely pleased that it will soon be available to users of Canvas at UC Berkeley and beyond.
