ETS is excited to introduce the Gradescope tool to the campus community. Thanks to feedback from instructors and a dedicated group of testers, we are pleased to announce that Berkeley has signed a contract with Gradescope giving campus instructors access to all of the features available in this assignment grading tool.
Many instructors on campus have been using Gradescope for the past few semesters, and we are proud to bring it into our Teaching and Learning Services portfolio. Instructors who are currently using the service may continue to do so confident that they will retain access to all features. As service owners, we will pursue opportunities to engage with instructors to understand and represent their needs.
New features of interest to new and existing Gradescope instructors include an integration of this tool with bCourses. Gradescope has enabled a roster and gradebook sync functionality allowing you to automatically populate your Gradebook course based on bCourses enrollment, and pass grades from Gradescope to the bCourses gradebook. Visit our September 7th training (below), or consult these resources [documentation, video] for instructions on enabling these new features.
Keep an eye out for more announcements this Fall, as we make Gradescope a prominent part of our portfolio, and support it with trainings and faculty panels.
