In some bCourses Assignments with Turnitin enabled, Originality Check reports are not being automatically generated when a student submits their work. Canvas and Turnitin are currently working on a resolution to this issue.

Users unable to log into bCourses from approximately 5:40 PM - 6:00 PM on Tuesday, 10/20/15.

This is a status message to inform users that bCourses is currently operational and has recovered from the system outages last week that affected access and the functionality of tools.

September 25, 2015

Starting around 7 AM on Friday morning, September 25, 2015, a campus database issue began triggering a general slowdown across ETS services.

Given the network service interruptions this past weekend, ETS is extending the deadline for bSpace course owners and project site owners to access their content to Wednesday, October 21st. We want to ensure instructors and project owners have enough time to address their content retrieval needs in case the downtime affected their plans. The original deadline was the end of September. The extension will provide an additional 3 weeks for bSpace content retrieval.

There was an issue that prevented some users who have a CalNet Guest Collaboration account from logging into bCourses from 8 AM Monday, September 21, until 12:30 PM Tuesday, September 22. This issue has been resolved. Please contact bcourseshelp@berkeley.edu if you are still having issues accessing bCourses. 

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

September 11, 2015

Crocodoc, which tool that generates the document preview in the Speedgrader, was unavailable this morning, 9/11/15 from about 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM. If you went into the Speedgrader during this time, you would have seen an error message and been unable to preview or mark-up submissions. However, you would have still been able to download the files.

The issue has been resolved as of 9:27 AM. Please see http://status.instructure.com/ for more information.

Some instructors, when uploading from i>grader to bCourses,  are experiencing a bug that causes scores to appear for only the first student listed in "Grades". If this impacts you, please see our help document What to do if only one student's i>clicker scores appear in bCourses.

ETS and key campus partners working together to create a new integrated service space for instructors to learn, explore and collaborate.
The AirBears Wi-Fi connection point has been retired. Users with a CalNet id should connect via AirBears2. Guests are encouraged to use the CalVisitor Wi-Fi network.
