Please excuse our dust! Big changes are coming to ETS the week of May 4 as we move a large portion of our team to our new offices at 2850 Telegraph.
As part of series of larger campus department-relocation projects, ETS will soon be vacating our offices on Level C Dwinelle. By this fall most of our team will be located at 2850 Telegraph and the lower-level of Cesar Chavez.

This morning the CalCentral team deployed CalCentral version 54.
Version 54 includes display of detailed AP and EAP credits, better handling of academic status between semesters, and miscellaneous fixes.

Over the next several weeks, campus IT systems will undergo important system upgrades which will limit access to web-based systems and websites.
On Sunday April 12, 2015 from 6am - 8am users should expect the CalNet Authentication system to be unavailable. Users will not able to access systems such as bMail, CalCentral, bSpace, bCourses or any other system requiring log-in.

UC Berkeley is supposed to be quiet on the week of Spring Break as the students leave campus to take a well deserved break. However for a three day event named “Science for Parks, Parks for Science”, professors, academics, and great minds came from all over to gather here at UC Berkeley to think and speak on key issues concerning National Parks.

On March 12, 2015 several IT units across campus came together to host a town hall and open house style event to discuss the various collaboration tools on campus including: Google Apps, Box, bCourses, and CalShare. This One IT event was created to assist members of campus in the transition from the soon-to-be retired tools bSpace and Research Hub.

ETS is excited to announce the introduction of our Academic Integrity Service and a new campus agreement with Turnitin. Beginning this Spring 2015 semester, Turnitin will be available via bCourses by request to course instructors. This opt-in tool allows students to upload their assignments for comparison against Turnitin’s extensive database of books, journal articles, websites and other student papers. Turnitin then generates an “Originality Check” report for instructors to determine the percentage of an assignment that matches material from other sources in this database.
